  Chaplain Cordell represented the racetrack ministry at Annual ABWMOPAD Conference held at Shippensburg University, June 8-10.

My report: "As usual, the women presented a fantastic conference entitled, "At the Edge . . . the Voice of Truth." Using the words of Scripture, "Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid, . . . Come," The women heard outstanding messages from speakers, Rev. Dr. Eleanor Cardenas and medical missionary to Nicaragua, Dr. Laura Parajon. Thanks to the hard work of Barbara Diefenderfer, Conference Coordinator and AB Women's Ministries of PA and DE President, Betsy Hale, the women had an uplifting time of blessing for the entire weekend.

Through the years the American Baptist women have been extremely generous to the racetrack ministry, giving Christmas gifts for the children and for the dormitory residents as well as faithfully sending cookies for the Christmas events."
